OUR STORY

Circa is a collective of creatives headed by Xantin Canlas and Carlo Soriano who started dabbling with photography, graphic and sound design back in 2005.



Carlo studied photography by accident at the Philippine Center for Creative Imaging back in 2005 when his mom forced his brother to take it up. And armed with his first camera, a hand-me-down Nikon F55, he hasn't stopped clicking since.

​He started out as a commercial photographer veering mainly on product , portrait and event photography.



Most days he eats cheese Pringles, listens to classical music and plays the piano.

​

Xantin has been in the graphic design industry since 2002. She held her first camera back in 2006 and the rest is history. She has a keen eye for detail and isn't afraid to make a fool out of herself taking images of them.



She loves sketching, instagram, Amelie Poulain and watching rom-coms on the side.

 

Today, Circa is a creative team that caters mainly to lifestyle, wedding, and commercial photography and cinematography.



We like our aesthetic to convey the beauty of the human spirit in our photography and cinematography through our clients stories, not just another generic archetype from a run-off-the-mill studio.

We love to put our personal touch on every image, and every frame of our work.

​

In line with this, we maintain a small dedicated group and only book a small number of clients per month to ensure that everyone that trusts us with their special day will be given the amount of attention they deserve.
